Spontaneous rupture of membranes

Okay so I’m on my 3rd, and I’ve never experienced my water breaking spontaneously. With my first, I started having consistent contractions and was 6cm when the doctor broke my water to speed things up. I was induced with my second. So I don’t know what to expect, if I even experience it this time. So tell me the stories of your water breaking. Where were you? How did you know? Was it a huge gush or a slow leak? Did contractions start immediately after?
