Do you let your baby cry ?

I’m a first time mother my baby is 3 months everytime she cry’s I pick her up but today I just had it I couldn’t take it I just put her In her swing and let her cry I fed her changed her rocked her she was going to sleep but thinks she’s going to sleep in my arms all the time I know some people don’t let their baby cry but Hey sometimes it’s better to walk away

I think the fact  that you couldnt  take it... is a perfectly  acceptable reason to walk away. Moms are human too, I'd  much rather a crying  baby  over a mom completely  losing her  shit and hurting the baby. Now if you just leave the baby to cry all alone all the time, I'm  judging your  parenting

You should be proud of yourself for admitting you couldn’t take it and walking away from the situation. You made sure she was all good before doing it as well, which is even better. Being a new mom is HARD and anyone that says otherwise is lying or has a lot of help. You’re allowed to walk away sometimes mama.

Please do not feel guilty for needing time to yourself when being a parent becomes too much to handle, it’s okay to let your baby cry for a little while until you gather yourself up again.
I am not in the same position, as my son is 3 months soon, but only cries when he’s hungry/tired..

Not really, she’s not a big cryer so when she is crying she needs me. 
But if I had done everything and needed to walk away for my sanity, yes. You mental health is vital for baby’s safety, and sometimes all you can do is walk away

She’s 8 months and I had to walk away one time after like 4 hours of crying - I splashed some cold water on my face, did some deep breathing and counted to 20, then went back. Nothing I was doing was helping and my anxiety was through the roof. Don’t feel bad if you get frustrated and need to collect yourself. That is actually recommended by health professionals because people NOT walking away when those feelings creep up is how shaken baby syndrome happens. It takes a split second to make a poor, life changing decision and I’m sure nobody thinks they are capable of it until it happens.

It's not encouraged before 4 months. But if it's between that or you getting pushed too far then you have to for your sanity. See if you can find someone to help and talk to your pediatrician about colic or maybe even hidden reflux

I let him cry on one occasion for a minute or two while I collected myself. But I haven’t and don’t let him cry until he stops.

I personally would never be able to let my daughter cry , she isn’t a big cryer anyways so when she does cry it is because she is upset and it breaks my heart to hear, she also doesn’t have a dummy or a blanky so I am her comfort and I will always be there to pick her up when she is upset , I understand and accept that some people do let there children cry and I wouldn’t judge them for doing so , we all parent differently and that is completely ok !
