Monistat for yeast infection while pregnant?

Hi ladies. I’m almost 12 weeks pregnant with my first baby so I’m new to all this. For the past week, I’ve been on an antibiotic to treat bacterial vaginosis. I think the antibiotic has given me a yeast infection, which I’ve heard is common. I have thick discharge and a mild/moderate burning sensation when urinating. My question is, is it okay to just go get an over the counter medication like monistat to treat the infection? Or should i call my doctor and get a prescription instead? Thanks in advance 😊
