“Cold turkey” your baby for middle of the night feedings? How did you do it? Get him to sleep? My boy wakes up every 2 hours & is 7months

My 18 month old is still waking up in the night and he asks for milk. My first was the same.  Neither of them sleep through the night fully.  Usually up 1-3 times each.  
When my first was 2, I cut out all bottles and plan to do the same with our second. 
Try not to take away from what he needs. He’s still so little.  
Yes, lots of babies sleep throughout night or have long stretches. But lots also don’t.  Each one is different.

I didn’t do anything to make it happen my baby is 15 weeks and he sleeps from about 9:30 until 7:00 now. 
In the few hours before bed he drinks so much milk almost 300mls over three hours and he sleeps very well, I don’t know if im just very lucky or if I stumbled upon the secret.
I fed him on the lounge then take him to his bed and rock him to sleep in the bassinet if I can’t get him to sleep that way then I will offer him some warmed expressed milk, I never force sleep on him as a schedule I let him lead me to what I should be doing with him such as giving him cuddles before bed , placing my hand on him while he falling asleep in the bassinet to make him feel secure.

My 7 month old still wakes up to eat at least once. I think he’s too small to cut it out and if he’s waking up he obviously needs it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Are you shure it’s because he wants to eat or is it because it’s a habit? 
Do you let him be for like 5-10 minutes becore going? Do you give him a pacifier before? Do you talk to him during the night feedings?

My baby is 16 months and still feeds at least 2 times a night. It's ideal to keep night feeding until at least a year though.

I started giving my son a sippy cup with water and made him sit up and drink it. He eventually weened himself. I didn’t start until he was 1 tho.
