Helping a 16mo old branch out with food.

Ok, so let me preface this with my dude has food allergies...

...that makes him way less adventurous with food then is sister. I could feed her anything and she would eat it. She’s 3 now and has some more picky tendencies but nothing crazy and I don’t worry about her diet much.

But TBH my son has grilled chicken from

CFA or home grilled. Or chicken nuggets. They’re not the horrible kind (organic and such) but at the same time they’re still processed nuggets. That’s like the only protein he eats. Occasionally I can get him to eat lunch meat but that’s a hit and a miss.

He eats green beans, corn, and carrots well. So an ok variety of veggies. Does well with fruit and yogurts.

I’m just at a loss for how to get him to eat other proteins or maybe even different ways to make chicken for him n stuff.

He can’t have eggs or most beans (weird I know) and so that doesn’t help.

So any suggestions? He’s a texture dude and a yeller so half the time I’m just happy if he eats. 😂 But now my husband has me all worried. I try and provide a good balanced diet but protein (even with both of them) is a struggle. TIA mommas!
