Spotting or Period ?

Hi so I started spotting on the 31st, it’s was light pink and barely there didn’t need a pad. Then on the 2nd of this month it turned dark brown and has stayed dark brown up until today, it’s still very light but drips into the toilet when I pee sometimes. Could this be spotting or my period? I ovulated on the 22nd or 24th and BD all days from then the the 27th. I think it’s too early to be my period but I’ve heard spotting doesn’t drip into the toilet. What do you think? My bbt today was 97.58.
