Breast pump recs??

Question

Finally called insurance and they said they’ll cover any pump (other than hospital grade) at any time, up to $470.  So I’m hoping to get one soon!  I anticipate needing to pump a lot at work, in case that effects things.

I have the medela freestyle pump I love it! I used it so much with my first and it was nice and small so easy to bring with me to work when I needed to pump but still had the power.

I’m planning to get the Elvie hands free pump. I work from home and I already have a 2 year old so those leisurely days on the couch with my boob out (either pumping or nursing) are unlikely to be possible with baby #2, but I still want him to benefit from my breastmilk. I’ve used the freemie pump (though I think maybe there’s a new version now?) and it was honestly so annoying. You have to sit straight up or else milk will go into the tubes (which is NOT supposed to happen), and it’s really uncomfortable, so I feel like I need to invest in a truly hands free pump. I like that the Elvie doesn’t require bags, both because the bags get expensive and because they’re less environmentally friendly than pouring the milk out into reusable containers (compared to Willow).

I got the Phillips avent single breast pump with my first and it is AMAZING. it’s still good as new and will be using it with my second. I did have an issue with the first pump I got (I was putting it together wrong lol) and Phillips fedex’d me a new one no questions asked at no charge. 
It is easy to use and get the job done easily. I highly recommend it.
