Sharp pains?? Anyone else?

I’m 16 weeks. Every once in a while I’ll have sharp “pains” (I don’t really want to call them pains because they don’t hurt me, just a sharp feeling) around my uterus area. Its mostly at night when I’m laying down. I go to the doctor Monday so I plan to tell him about it but just wanted to see if anyone else experienced this? I’m assuming it’s round ligament pain or that the baby could be moving and hitting a nerve??

It sounds like round ligament pain which is very common at this point of pregnancy. I get it when I lay down at first and then if I stand up quick sometimes. I find if I take it slower it doesn’t happen as often.

It’s probably round ligament pain, I get this if I make a move to sudden. As the uterus grows larger the ligaments that help support it are stretched and fast or sudden changes can cause pain briefly.  When this happens I stop and kind of slouch down to take some of the pressure off and it eases up pretty quick.

My doctor told me that round ligament pain usually goes away once you’re in the second trimester and my pain was likely due to not drinking enough water. Well, she was right I increased to a gallon a day and I no longer have my cramps.

I had it on and off throughout, but I had it daily for the first 4 days of week 16! It’s round ligament pain, & sure enough others were saying the same thing. Normal!

I’m 17 weeks and Ive had the same thing on and off since 16 weeks 💁🏼 don’t think u need to worry 😊

I’ve been having the same pain for a couple of days now. The feeling is similar to when I run a lot and something hurts like a pulled muscle on one side of my uterus. I went to my doctor yesterday and he said I have a fibroid and that might be the reason. I’ve never had one, even though I know it’s very common. He said it’s not to concern me too much but if the meds don’t work, to check in the hospital for an IV.

I have the same thing, I mentioned it to my doctor at my appointment yesterday. She said it was very normal as your body changes to accommodate baby. You only need to be concerned if it’s accompanied by bleeding.
