Boyfriend's anger issues

My boyfriend gets angry at small stuff and then puts his anger on me. For instance, if we didn't have change to tip he would get very angry, if we missed the train we are supposed to be in, he will get very angry and yells at me instead (I know he doesn't mean it but he can't control it). I'm more of a chill, go with the flow person, so when het gets angry and yell at me, I consequently get angry because he is yelling at me for no legit reason. This happens daily and I just can't stand it. He admits he has problems but also he is working on them.

I don't know what to do with him.
