First Time Being Mom Shamed ???

So today my two year old daughter and I went to Marshall’s and ofc she saw the toy section and I immediately regretted walking past it ( She has A LOT of TOYS ) but I wasn’t in the mood to hear her cry so we walked past it and I made her choose which toy she wanted, and so she picked one then she saw another one and so again I proceeded to tell her only one you have to pick and she started to cry , so I ignored her crying for about 30 seconds at most then an older lady strolling by turns to me and says “ SHE’S CRYING ! “ as if I didn’t hear her when she’s right next to me and personally I’m not one to stay quiet so I said “ Yes I Can Hear Her “ and she walked away murmuring something .. I’m still thinking if maybe I was wrong for letting her cry , did I look like a bad mom ?

You weren't wrong for letting your two year old throw a tantrum about the toys and not giving in to her tears. You just tell that old lady to mind her own damn business.

There are two kinds of people at Marshall’s...the best and the worst.
I got mom shamed by an 80 year old man at Marshall’s once.  I was waiting in line and put my son in the back of the cart so he could help me unload it when it was our turn at the register.  My son was standing in the cart because of the stuff.  The guy was like, “Ma’am, don’t do that.  That is Soooooo dangerous.  I saw a kid standing like that fall out of a cart at Menards.  You really shouldn’t do that.”  I was so taken aback I couldn’t respond with, “Dude, stay in your lane.”
It wrecked my day.  He wasn’t wrong...it wasn’t the safest way to be in a cart...but it wasn’t the death trap he was making it out to be either.
Sometimes being in the presence of children brings out the worst behavior in grown ass adults.

Heck no. Me and my husband would let our daughter do that when she was 2  (she’s 3 now). She ll whine or cry for less than 30 seconds wouldn’t get the attention she wanted and would stop. Now she might try it and serious lasts like 5 seconds cuz she knows we’re not gonna give in so she basically doesn’t even try 
If you give in to it she ll always do it to get her way

Wow. Your response is exactly how I would've reacted. You did nothing wrong..people need to mind their business. Clearly you weren't physically hurting your baby or putting her in any danger, so that woman needed to just keep her mouth shut & continue walking.

Shoulda told her fuck off, lol I was yelling at my kid one day, more like talking loud because she leaves her STUFF EVERY WHERE LITERALLY , and ppl were looking at me and Im like well do you want the ass whopping that I should be giving her for loosing her cheer stuff 🙄 im like keep fucking moving if not 😂😂
