Are you having a baby shower for your second child?

If you had a shower for your first child, will you be having another shower with your second child. Some people say it depends on gender.

Nope. Call me traditional or old-school, but the original idea for baby showers was supposed to be for new parents adjusting to a new life. I still hold to that belief, though it has changed its meaning somewhat nowadays.

Yes; regardless of gender, it's been 9 years since i had a baby and its my SO's first so his Momma's first grandbaby, i don't want them to miss out on all of that ❤

My children will be 17 years apart so I’m definitely starting over. I think it’s fine in situations like that. It doesn’t seem as if our society is that rigid on etiquette anyway. If you feel comfortable, I say go for it.

I think I would do a “sprinkle” brunch but no registry as I should have most things from my 1st shower.

My two will only be 22 months apart and the same gender and I’m still having a shower. I wasn’t going to but my husband decided to leave me at 6 months pregnant. My family decided to do one for me because of the circumstances. And me just moving 1,200 miles back home.

I had a Sprinkle only because my 1st is 12 years old and my husband insisted that we celebrate our son how we celebrated our daughter.

I didn’t want to because I feel like you should only do it for one child. But my sister and mother in law wouldn’t take no for an answer so now I’m having one. Mind you this baby is with my now husband. My first daughter is from a previous relationship so it’s a bit of a different situation.
