Estrogen surge?

Did my second opk this morning on CD 6 with the ClearBlue Easy digital test and got the blinking smiley face which is supposed to indicate rise in estrogen (I think). Doesn’t this rise occur 4-5 days prior to ovulation?? My Glow calendar said I wouldn’t ovulate until the 17th but I wanna do a better job at timing sex right this cycle LOL

The clearblue digitals say not look at the test lines. Go by the digital readings.

Mine was way off at first until I did the opks and knew for sure. It had me ovulating on cd 14 when in reality I was around day 10 so I was missing my window completely. Go by the opks

OPK tests measure a rise in LH (luteinizing hormone) which peak right before ovulation. I’m not sure what that test shown is measuring, but if it’s OPK, then it’s negative. At CD 6 it’s probably too early to have a positive unless you tend to ovulate very early.
