Newly diagnosed with PCOS.. any tips?

Went for trans vag sono this morning. Along with other symptoms and the lovely string of pearls on my right ovary, my dr diagnosed me PCOS. Anyone have any tips, how did you go forward? Did changing eating habits help?

Most importantly, stay or get into a healthy BMI. Sugar- including unseen ones like fructose etc, is your enemy. So, keep an eye on carbs and up your veg intake. It's a syndrome, so the side effects, such as irregular/missing periods, can be regulated if your BMI is within a healthy range. Also, it's a catch 22 in losing weight with pcos, so stick with it- even though its tough. I've been spot on regular for nearly three years since losing some weight. I've had the diagnosis for over 20 years.
