Newly diagnosed! Advice

Kara

So I’ve had irregular periods my entire life and the only time I reacted my cycle was when I was trying to get pregnant but I got pregnant quickly with both so tracking was short lived. So fast forward Ttc #3 it’s been a a little over a year and I decided to go to the doctor I did blood work and she put me on clomid and today I got the results and she said my LH is high and some other hormone starts with an F I think and says I have pcos Total shocker I thought maybe it was my thyroid my only symptom is irregular cycles. Anyways the doctor believes I’ll be fine and clomid will help fix it. So today is my first dose of clomid and I’m super scared because some have bad some effects and some people don’t. But has anyone been in a similar situation and had success? And advice is so appreciated since I was literally diagnosed today! Also what does the future mean with pcos? I’m only 30 but later on do I have to stay on medicine or something to control this? Or can I just live my life like I have been
