Spinal Fusion?

Is there anyone else out there who has had spinal fusion surgery? I’d love to connect on their experience with this or previous pregnancies. This is my first... I had a l5-s1 fusion 4 years ago!

I didn’t have a fusion but I had a L4-L5 herniation and discectomy last May. Anxious to see if/when sciatic/back issues arise. 9wks1d.

Hello,
I had a spinal fusion 12 years ago from t3 to L3 I HAVE 2 Harrington rods and 21 screws. This is my second pregnancy. I didn't have any issues with my first pregnancy really I just had to go to see an anethetist to see if I could have an epidural in case I wanted or had to have one. My contractions were all in my back but I don't really think this was to do with my spinal fusion x

No fusion but I have a l5-s1 disc bulge that has cause sciatic pain for the last year. I was actually in the middle of getting epidurals for the pain when I found out I’m pregnant. I’m waiting for the pain to come back full force...

I had neck surgery (14 screws and 2 bars in my neck) . I was born with a rare disorder that caused my spine to be a little different. The top 7 vertebrae are shaped like an “x” rather than like normal (like a ladder) . The bottom 3 in my spine are also like this, but I haven’t had to have surgery on it. I am a little worried as to what child birth and just carrying a baby will do to my back.

Yes. I am fused t1-l2. This is my 4th pregnancy. I have had two pregnancies with rods in, 1 pregnancy post rod removal and this is my second post rod removal.

I’m fused from L5-S1 and would also like to know tips to make this pregnancy better.  Was anyone who is fused able to go without an epidural??
