Not getting an ultrasound!?

Question

I have a doctors appointment on Thursday, I’m currently 10 weeks and I thought I’d be getting an ultrasound but instead they’re just doing a blood test and answering questions. I want to know if my baby is doing well and is healthy. Is this normal?

Not sure where you are based but I’m a uk mum and it’s normal routine. Nothing to worry about 😊
You normally have a 8-10 week check in appointment of what you described a 12 week dating scan. Then 16 week midwife which they check baby’s heart beat and then a 20 week gender scan if you want to know and then midwife appointments become more regular from 24/26 If I remember rightly.

Everyone has different experiences when it comes to ultrasounds I’ve noticed from being on this app. I get four done. First appointment. Then nuchal scan ultrasound around 12-13 weeks. Then one at 20 weeks for gender and overall health of baby. Then again at like 35 weeks to check how big baby is measuring. I thought it was normal to get this many. Can you see if you can get a private ultrasound done at an independent place?

I think it depends on your insurance. I had one done at 6 weeks and get another at my next  appointment week (10 weeks)

I have only had one and they told me I wouldn't have another until gender time (20+ weeks). We got to see its little heartbeat and did a measure to get a better idea of gestational age.
