Can I wash my baby with an umbilical hernia?

I've been wash cloth cleaning my little since birth, he's almost 8 weeks. Is it safe to actually bathe him with a very small umbilical hernia? I know the hernia will resolve its self on its own, but I wasn't sure if I needed to keep it dry or not.

If umbilical stump is healed, he can have a really bath for sure!  Hernia part is under the skin so there’s no risk of infection :)

Looks good to me!  Well healed and maybe a little hernia but small enough that it should close on its own (fingers crossed!).  You can totally give him a real bath and I wouldn’t be surprised if some of that comes off.  My son had one little spot that took longer to heal and baths seemed to help :)
