Is it worth it?

So I just found out that it’s illegal to only pay your employees overtime if they work over 80 hours in a biweekly pay period, and that they have to pay you for each week (so if I worked 45 one week and 32 the next I still should be paid 5 hours overtime that first week). My last place of employment did not do this and only paid if I worked over 80 hours a pay period. I know because of this I wasn’t paid overtime I should have been and on top if it, this employer was a terrible one to work for and I almost want to sue then just from spite. Is it worth it though? I mean I was a server so my hourly wage was only $3.50 but still it’s more the principal, and also the fact that my former coworkers and I can all sue them that makes me want to do it. But is it work it in your opinion?
