i keep being told i need to wait until i'm 21, i'm 19.. all my friends got them done when they were young or sexually active.. should i even bother getting one now ? yes i'm sexually active.

I lost my virginity around that age and I'm pretty sure I got my first around that time, after I became sexually active.if you're sexually active you should do it. They test for more than just cervical cancer during those exams so it's good for monitoring your sexual health and having an opportunity to talk to a doctor about that stuff.

When you became sexually active you should have started receiving annual check ups for STI's, any gynecological issues , etc. Make an appt asap.

I’m about to be 21 next week, I’m currently pregnant and they wouldn’t even do one in the beginning of my pregnancy like they often do because I was under 21, I will be getting one after the baby in born in Jan.    It all depends on the doctors office procedures.
