i apparently have no social skills

i’m in 9th grade, and recently i spotted a 10th grader i thought was cute. found out we had the same lunch, so i pointed him out to some friends. turns out one actually recognized him because he’s on the football team.

she snapchatted him, so now he knows my name, knows i think he’s cute, and that we both take afjrotc (military related class), but are in different periods. our class is doing an out of school fundraising type thing on the 21st, and he told my friend he’s actually gonna talk to me.

i’m just slightly nervous because i never talk to people i find attractive, and if i do i certainly don’t tell them. but this kid ALREADY KNOWS. plus i really just have no idea what to say. i’m a sort of awkward person when it comes to things like this. i guess i need advice on how to not say anything awkward and to at least make him think i’m funny??
