Baby shower party favours?🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve never been to a baby shower before so my first is actually my shower lol. I was wondering if it’s customary to give out party favours as a thank you to guests or not? If so, any suggestions?

I had a taco theme shower For my 4th baby and did little cactus. At my first shower we did a cute bag of homemade chocolates and a small candle that went with the theme!

We had cookies made that were little airplanes and had a candy table with little boxes for people to fill and take home.

We bought bulk hand sanitizers and will put a cute little note on them that way not only does everyone get a petty favor, they also have no excuse to not sanitize their hands when baby comes!

I did a man an woman's gift basket and let everyone put their name in as a drawing. It was a way that my husband and I could give back for all of the gifts they brought us. I also did mini baby bottles of mints and bags of popcorn that said ready to pop.

I personally wanted to give out favors but my MIL planned my first shower and refused that idea because she said it was a party for me not for the guest and made me feel bad about it so 🤷🏽‍♀️ this time my family will doing the planning
