Semen Analysis Results

My husband had a semen analysis this morning, and the office we go to told me it had to be at least 5 days since his last ejaculation or the sample wouldn't be good. Well we have been trying to schedule this for weeks now, so it had been about 12 days since the last time, and when we checked in this morning they told us he might have waited too long and the sample might not be accurate and that he should have only waited 2-5 days. I explained that when we scheduled the receptionist said AT LEAST 5 days and nobody told me there was a maximum amount of days we couldn't go over. They still went ahead with the sample but now I'm worried they'll make him do it again because it won't be accurate. Has anyone had anything like this happen? How off could his count be because of this?
