Am I ovulating? Tips?

If we’re doing the deed every 2 days there’s no way to miss the egg right? Sperm lives for 3-5 days inside the vagina. So if me and SO are having sex every second day from start to finish of every cycle and I still haven’t gotten pregnant I must assume I’m not releasing an egg right? I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I don’t track using opks because I tried it one cycle before during what I thought was peak days and my lines were never even close to dark, barely visible at all. So we just decided to have sex every 2 days so that way no matter when I ovulated we would catch the egg but we’ve been TTC for over a year now and absolutely nothing. It’s so disheartening getting a BFN over and over again. I have an appointment to see my GYNO but that’s 4 months from now. Anyone have tips or natural remedies to trigger ovulation? I’m pretty sure that’s my problem..
