Shower sex

So my boyfriend and I tried having sex in the shower last night for the first time. Im a little over 5’4 and he is 6’5 so things were really awkward and didn’t really go right. There is a seat in the shower but it still was weird and awkward for him. He sat down and I bent over and that was the only way it worked. What are some suggestions when your partner is that much taller then you??
