Trouble adjusting
•My infant son is nearly 9 months. He still feeds on demand, and prefers to be held during naps. He's learning to crawl.
•My oldest just started 1st grade, and went back to school 2 weeks ago. He has unofficially diagnosed ADHD. I'm trying to get the process going to get it official, but hitting some small road blocks.
•Soccer season started for oldest last month, first time doing sports. We have no clue what to expect; games just started and every game is overwhelming. He seems overwhelmed too. All of the other kids have played before, and it's his first time.
•My husband just started a new job last week. He now works out of the house all day from 9-5ish. Before this, he worked from home for the last 5 years, rarely needing to go onsite.
•I committed to taking a course at the college 2 days a week. I signed up before my husband changed jobs. He's encouraging me to keep it. I have enlisted a neighbor friend to babysit while I go to school.
•We only have 1 vehicle, and are renting a 2nd car until he gets his company car. (Hidden luck, we had no idea until this week. We were scrambling trying to figure out how we were going to pull everything off with 1 car.) My husband extended our car rental, which placed a preauth and locked up all but $9 in our account for the whole weekend.
•We've been so busy the last few weeks that I didn't notice flies laying eggs in my house. I found some maggots in the bathrrom, cleaned and killed them. Today there were around 30 flies by back door, which is in the kitchen... ewwwwww.
•Less than 30 days after treatment, my cat has fleas again. I had to give him a bath; followed by him drying, then drops. The last 6 months is the first time in 14 years my cat has EVER had fleas. Bleh
•Insurance doesn't kick in for 60 days, have to cancel/reschedule pediatrician appts
•Around my clitoris is still hurting from being sewn up after delivery. I've seen a perineal therapist. Some days are better than others
•I got a noise complaint from my complex today, from a few days ago. No idea why, office is closed until Tuesday.
•I have anxiety, and depression. All of these and more are triggers and I want to scream, and isolate, shave my head, and eat ice cream.
So during the day I'm mostly alone with a baby feeding on me, yet I haven't been able to do any real cleaning or anything "productive" until my husband gets home. Everything feels messy and chaotic. I know I'm doing things. But what? I'm not sure
