Wrong Gender at Early Scan ?!?!

So I paid for a early gender scan at one of the boutiques that claim to be able to tell the gender from 12 weeks on. At 14+3 I went in to have my scan and the baby had the legs crossed the entire. At the very end the ultrasound tech said oh I found it your having a boy.

She said this is a side profile view of the right leg and because the baby had stretched out she could see it’s a boy. I’m in a Facebook group for moms having babies in March 2020 and I have posted it there. Everyone seems convinced that this is indeed the umbilical cord and not boy parts. So now I’m just confused. I know the machines today are very advanced but is there a chance this is wrong ? I already have three boys and I’ve always gotten a in between the legs potty shot and knew for sure so again I’m just confused and wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

14 weeks n 12 weeks very early for ultrasound to see gender. I know someone who was told 18 weeks one gender and at 20 it was another.

Early gender determination can’t be 100% all the time. We had ours done at 14 w 6 d and was a boy. Tech said she saw right away but waited for the right shot to get a picture. Your tech is a trained professional, however it does happen they are wrong. If you doubt it don’t announce gender or buy anything until your anatomy scan in a few weeks.

This was 12+6. I’m not a tech but to me that seems to high to be a penis. This was our 3rd(first son) sono that made it obvious he was a boy 😂 we have two girls and have never had anything like that.

I found out w my last three at 13+1 via ultrasound and it was accurate. All boys. This does look like a boy. Just my humble opinion.

I did one at 13 weeks and they told me it was a girl. And they were right.

Personally i have had the scan at 14 weeks twice now and i know absolutely for dead sure the first one was right cuz shes one and a half now. I just had it done last week with this baby and its another girl (my oldest is a boy) and I'm confident its right cuz we got some good shots of her lady bits and this guy was the same guy who did my scan last time. You'll have your anatomy scan to double check the gender
