Do I have a chance?

I recently started talking to one of my friends friends. I have a class with him and he is super nice and cute. I learned that he recently got out of a relationship but was looking to get into another, so I decided I might as well go for it. Last Saturday I went to a party at his house and everything felt super natural. We held hands and talked and he even asked me to stay the night (which I said no to because I was too drunk to make a 100% good decision).

I have been thinking about whether or not he is into me recently but my friend just told me that he has a date on Friday :( I can’t help but be upset because I thought it would be a fun relationship to have. Do you guys think I might still have a chance with him? Should I even try?

I’ve felt so down the past month and talking to him was really nice.
