How much should i charge!!???

Need yalls help!! 😬😬 how much should i charge for babysitting a 4 month old baby. It would just be babysitting in home.
I feel like people never want to pay what it would be hrly so how much should i charge for 5 days a week 6:30am to 5pm
Does $300 sound like a lot?? I don’t want to overcharge.

Absolute minimum $13 an hour. More if you are CPR/first aid certified, and more again if you’re expected to transport the baby. So between $13-$17 an hour

When I babysat a 6mo I charged $15/hr because I know CPR and babies require a lot of work and constant attention.

I charge 18-25/hr depending on how far I have to drive. I live in CO. If you were younger with less experience maybe $15/hr.

It also depends on if they will provide you with food and drinks in the home or if you have to bring your own food and drinks. Since it is going to be 10.5 hours, 5 days a week, I would charge 400, unless they provide food, drinks. It also depends on how long you plan on taking care of the baby cause if it is for more than 3 months, you may have to look at putting this as your income on taxes and stuff but that gets really complicated. Also for people saying to charge more cause it’s a 4 month old baby, well that’s not right. Infants are extremely easy to take care of, especially at 4 months old. All they do is eat, sleep and do tummy time. 18months old is when I would charge a lot cause they need constant attention and supervision. So don’t base the rate you charge on the baby being 4 months old. I would also just talk to the parents about what they are comfortable with paying you and then you can tell them if you think it is too low. Babies are wonderful and snuggle bugs!! You may also have a lot of free time, which I personally take into consideration when babysitting for extended periods of time. Good luck!!!

Not enough, that’s $5.70 an hour. Obviously daycare can be cheaper than that but this wouldn’t be daycare, this is one on one care. I’d double that.
