Tips for boosting milk supply?
I just had my daughter a week ago. She’s been amazing in terms of nursing and eating when she needs to. It’s exhausting but we’ve been feeding on command. With my son, I had a really hard time keeping my supply up. I did everything I could! Pumped inbetween nursing, fenugreek (which I now see can dry you up), all the foods to promote good production, water, etc.
My daughter seems okay for now in terms of the production but in between nursing when pumping I’ve barely been able to get anything. Maybe an ounce to 2 ounces. I was so excited because I want our breastfeeding journey to be different. I would love to give her the benefits of breast milk for as long as possible. So far I’ve done everything I did with my son, but added in more foods that promote increase in milk supply, lactation cookies, tons of water, two pumping sessions when she gives me a break, malt o meal, etc. Is there anything else I can do? I’d love to be able to get some sleep so that my husband can do a nighttime feeding when needed. All tips/tricks appreciated! Thanks!
