Horrible pain in lower stomach

I am 12 days postpartum and having horrible sharp pains off and on in my lower stomach. Mostly on the right side but last night it migrated to the left side. It’s not the uterine contractions you get after birth because those ended for me around 4 days PP. these pains started 3 days ago and they’re not constant, but when they do start, they’re very painful.

My doctors office is closed, so I can’t call them. My first thought was that it was my appendix, but since I just gave birth, I figure it’s probably because of that?

Is it normal to have random pains after birth like this?
