Second child, breastfeeding with scar tissue from first
Ok, so I just gave birth to my second child 3 days ago and my milk came in today.
After I had my first almost 3 years ago, I got an abscess in my breast that had to be removed surgically by incision and drainage. I was able to still nurse on that side and ducts healed up. I just have a scar now. It had seemed as if the ducts healed through the scar.
Well, since my milk has come in with this one, I can feel that my breast is especially engorged and a little lumpy right above that scar (between armpit and scar). From the scar to the nipple the skin is soft and painless.
I am terrified that my breast is now all clogged up in that section and that it will get worse and worse.
Does anyone know, can certain milk ducts stop producing on their own, while the others in the breast keep producing? Can the milk ducts keep working in spite of the scar? Can the clogs be worked out in any way? Is it possible to only nurse on one side and if so, how do I get my scarred side to stop producing now that it has started? Ah! I am just traumatized from my prior experience with nursing and don't know what to do.

It is a super weird situation and a long shot that someone else has experienced this, but any help is appreciated!!
