Medela or Spectra?

I’m a FTM and will be exclusively
pumping.  Which pump do you prefer between the Spectra and Medela?  Thank you!

Spectra is more customizable than the Medela in terms of the settings. I've only used the Spectra and I love it!! My lactation consultant told me they have the best tech on the market. I've heard a lot of women complain about the Medela but don't have any first hand experience with it.

Spectra s1 if you're EPing. Plus join the fb page and keep your purchase info, even if it's through insurance. I burnt out my motor in about 5 months and they sent a replacement in 48 hours, it was awesome. Plus we lost power for 48 hours once and I didn't have to worry about plugging it in. Its quite and feels pretty natural. And... The automatic 30 minute shut off will save your nipples when you fall asleep while pumping lmao

I have both. The medela works fine but the spectra is much quieter and gentler. Also depending on the medela the spectra has two controls. One for speed and one for suction. I definitely prefer having control over both.

I’ve only used Medela. As a matter of fact, I’m using the same pumps with my daughter that I used with my son 3 years ago. I EP’d with him as well.
