Postpartum bleeding

I'm 15 days PP. By the end of the first week the bleeding tapered down to a pink color then a few days later it came back heavier and bright red. Its stayed about the same since. The flow isnt super heavy and I'm not soaking pads its kinda like a period flow. Is it normal for it to taper off like that and pick up again. Second baby. Dont remember what the bleeding was like with my first that was 3 years ago. I had a vaginal delivery with no complications and no tears.
