Can you ladies help me out!? Ugh I've been trying to find a insurance plan that will at least cover the basic fertility testing and treatment that's not trying to break the bank 😭 Any suggestions?

A lot of the basic fertility testing is the same as diagnostic testing for other women's health issues such as PCOS or endometriosis. I did not have fertility-specific coverage, but was able to get partial coverage for a pelvic ultrasound and bloodwork. I did have to pay out of pocket for a HSG for me ($800) and semen analysis for my husband ($100).
Ask your doctor if they can code the orders as diagnostics for heavy and painful periods rather than infertility. Once insurance companies see the "I" word, all bets are off.
