Going on vacation without baby?

Am I wrong to feel very hesitant about leaving our now 3 month old for a week in March? I don’t think I’d be worried if we were just a 2 hour plane ride away for a few days but my husband and I have been planning to go to Hawaii for a week and I’m on the verge of cancelling. I’m just so scared if something were to happen that we’d be so far away. Also I have no idea how she’ll do with us being away that long, especially overnight. At the same time I feel like now is as good of time as ever because we only have one baby and she might do better at this age verses in a few years. If anyone has been away from their baby on a long vacation shed some light on me please! I need to know that it’ll end up being ok!

Personally, I couldn’t ever take a vacation without my child. My husband and I just couldn’t do it, especially for a week. 
You could always take your child or take a mini vacation. A week is a long time to leave a baby with someone and the child might not do well with you gone. It’s also a lot to ask for from someone, to watch a baby for a full week.

So baby will be 9 months old? I personally would bring baby with me.. but as long as the person you are leaving her with is good with babies and their needs I guess it would be okay... a week feels like a long time for me to be away from my son and hes 3 years..

I can’t believe everyone is saying to bring your baby as if you & your SO don’t deserve a vacation alone. You 100% do & your baby will be fine if they’re with someone you trust. Go & have an amazing time.

We spent 3 nights in Iceland when my son was a year old. He stayed with grandparents. We missed him terribly but it was a nice romantic getaway. My son did great. 
However, we took a week long cruise alone when my son was 17 months, and I wish we hadn’t. A week was WAY too long, and my son was so mad at us when we got back. It broke my heart. I will never do that again. 
So, long story short, I think a week is way too long for a baby that young. You’ll regret it. At least I did.

Hawaii for a week? No. That flight is like 12 hours. I would do a closer vacation, maybe a couple of states away that way you could make a drive or flight within a couple of hours and only do it for a couple of days. If you plan on going though, I would definitely do a couple of test runs and let your baby stay overnight with whoever is watching them before your actual vacation. That way you can see how they do staying with someone else. If they do terribly, then rethink your vacation, and if they do good, then go ahead and don’t worry.

I mean I'd bring my baby with me no matter what her age lol🤷‍♀️ what's a vacation without your little blessing and spending time together? I understand the long airplane ride though. As long as she is with someone you trust though and they keep in communication with you about how she is to keep u reassured. Maybe try calling every night to tell her good night cause I'm sure its gonna be just as hard for you to be separated from your little one. It might make it easier for u and maybe even the baby (:

I’m sure your baby would be fine, but I personally wouldn’t be, I’d miss her too much and wouldn’t be able to enjoy my holiday.
We’ve just been away for three weeks with our daughter (4 months old) we were really worried about the plane journey (10 hour flight) but she was absolutely great and we’ve created so many wonderful memories on our first family holiday. Definitely given me the confidence to take her away again.

I’m leaving my kids (they’ll be 2 and 8 months old) in June for a 5 day trip in Mexico. I’m a little nervous but super excited. I say be excited if you trust who will be watching your baby. Who knows when this opportunity will come around again!

I would never leave my baby to go on holiday. Ask your mum if she can fly out with you and look after the baby in the evening so you can do date nights.
