Should parents feel guilty for throwing their children's artwork away

Every holiday that come up... My parents have loads of decorations from over the years that my siblings and I made while in school... Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, mother's day... Stuff we made in art class, pottery we made growing up and so on...

I asked my parents why they kept all of these things... because they are god awful, macaroni art, paper art, shit paintings ect.. and they said because they are remnants of our childhood...and they'd feel terrible letting these hideous treasures go *Gag me with a fork*
