Girl, you can cut your finger and Dr.Google is going to say you’re going to die. Please stop googling. This is OCD in us trying to control something we have no control over. And knowing the odds ahead of time won’t prevent our deaths. Won’t help us cope. Nothing.. it’s just going to create more fear. We can’t control this. Just find peace and don’t focus on the negative. Tell yourself it’s natural, and also tell yourself to stop trippin, you got this.

Don’t google it. I had a lot of anxiety since my delivery was extremely high risk to the point of requiring planned general anesthesia and doctors asking me if I wanted to write down my end of life wishes. Childbirth is terrifying, but also amazing. Don’t let “what if’s” mess with your mind.

Im going for my 3rd csection and while my 1st 2 went pretty smooth, for some reason ive been nervous about it and have googled things like that.. its normal to get anxiety about these things, but odds are extremely high that you'll be just fine!

Keep in mind that the probability is insanely low, and even if severe complications arise, the majority of deaths and impoverished women who do not have access to proper medical care  (or ignored drs orders like had sex right away after birth). I have 4 kids and all of them were high risk for some reason or another, but that's what drs and hospitals are for.

Yeah, I'm delivering in the worst state for maternal death in my country. So I freaked out about that for about 4 months. It was kind of horrible. Tears, snot, and hysterics. My husband had to talk me down multiple times. He tried statistics. He tried just letting me freak out on him. He tried fixing it with suggesting other doctors or hospitals. He finally took me to the hospital I'm delivering in. We took a tour and we walked around and I was able to ask all of my questions. I felt better. I finally feel like these people could be capable of not killing me when I deliver my baby.
Find something to help you feel better about it is what I'm saying.
