How do you know when it’s time to size up your bottle nipple size?

My son is getting frustrated at the size 1 nipples but drowns in size 2 🤦🏼‍♀️

My baby got super frustrated and would play throughout the whole bottle  and then give up eating completely about half way done

I asked this question in another group and no one answered. I exclusively nurse: obviously my nipple size doesn't change--why do bottle nipples have to be changed? 🤔

Yeah if you slowly let them sip the size up while sitting up, they will eventually understand they can control the flow with how strong they’re pulling. Or put a sterilized needle through the tip a little and it may open it up just a bit more.

My son was getting super frustrated with number 2 & chocked on 3 🙄 I had to feed him in an almost sitting position 🙂 & he's already gotten hsed to it.
