When did your baby/toddler drop to 1 nap a day?

When did your kiddo drop to 1 nap a day? Bonus points if you would like to explain how you knew it was time to cut out a nap &/or how you did it. Thanks!

Lmao bonus points. I guess you gauge when your child is tired or not. Like you know when he /she is tired, they yawn or rub their eyes etc so you know it's sleepy time. If you usually put your child straight in their crib and you find they aren't sleeping during nap time or showing signs of Tiredness around then I'd say it's time to cut it out.

My daughter is currently transitioning on her own to one nap. She is 15 months old. She has been fighting her second nap (just laying in bed and talking for 30+ minutes) when normally she would fall asleep within minutes of being put down. I’ve started extending her first nap from 10:30 to 11 to 11:30 and today I put her down at 12 and she slept until 1:45 and went to bed at 6:45. This transition has been the hardest nap transition by far. There are days where she has to get two naps in to make it and other days where she only does one and has to go to bed super early because she only got an hour to an hour and a half nap.

Around 11-12 months. He would *scream* in his crib when I put him down for a second nap and just flat out refused to take it. This went on for about two weeks and then we slowly pushed first nap back towards lunchtime. He’s 14 mo now and will occasionally take two naps if he had an especially bad night but it’s usually just one 2 hour nap around 1pm
