Omg what did I just say?!

So I was talking with one of the moms at my daughters school today and she goes “I just realized I’m old enough to be your mom! I’m 50”. Well me thinking I’m being nice says “well you don’t look 50 at all, you look young” Did I just intend that 50 is old? I didn’t mean for it to come out that way haha.

Do you think that sounded like a compliment or more like a slap in the face? I hope she took it as a compliment because that’s what I meant for it to be.
