Is there such thing as a name announcement?

My wife and I decided on the name for our little girl coming February 8th but she wants to announce the name. Is that even a thing? Like I know there is the birth announcement or a gender reveal but I have never heard of someone making a separate announcement for a name other then when the baby is born.

We have always decided to share the gender and keep the name a secret until birth and annouce then.

I've seen some do it. I really like the ones with baby's sonogram and their name on a letter board.
I'm still undecided whether to announce the name, or just start calling her by it online like I did with my first and then officially announce her full name at birth.

You can post an ultrasound picture and include the name or something. We are keeping it a secret. We don’t really want anyone’s opinions 😜
