Gestational diabetes

Anyone that got diagnosed with gestational diabetes? Went to Drs today sugar was 155 also had sugar in urine. my babies heart rate went up to 170 while on the monitor. Dr said could be the cause of my high sugars im not gaining weight and she hasnt put me on any medication i just been following her diet plan. What are some other ways I can keep my sugars low this is my second appointment with high sugars.(last week was 135) I just want my baby to be healthy.
