Question

Just out of curiosity, one of my random shower thoughts today 😂 - how would you know you’re pregnant if you’re on the pill? I’m not worried I am (I’m on the pill and we use condoms + pull out), but it occurred to me that I don’t get my periods anymore since being on it, so really how would I know? Like god forbid all of the precautions fail, how would you differentiate pregnancy symptoms from possible side effects of the birth control? Just me being curious 🤷‍♀️

I always keep a pack of pregnancy tests on hand. When I'm having unusual symptoms and have a weird paranoid feeling, I whip one out and take a test. Takes a few minutes and I have the comfort of knowing I'm not pregnant. Sometimes I still feel like I need to take another the next say or so. You can buy a whole pack of cheapies on amazon so each test comes out to less than a dollar. I always look for the reviews from people who were ttc. It's super easy and I dont feel like I'm wasting however much the regular tests cost. Personally I think keeping tests on hand should be a more common practice among sexually active adults. So many people complain about how embarrassing it is to go buy tests in a store on top of the panic of wondering if they're pregnant, but it really doesnt have to be that hard. Even if you dont trust cheapies, you can still buy the pricier ones online. Also, if you buy the ones that you dip in urine, buy some cheap disposable medicine cups along with your tests.
