I need a female opinion (tmi alert)

So my girlfriend and I have been "active" the last few months and have been using the withdrawal method. Well, a couple of weeks ago she started hinting that she wanted another baby. On Wednesday we were active (the day that she was supposed to start) and I went to "withdraw" and she said "What are you doing don't stop", so I didn't, and finished without "withdrawal". Did I misinterpret or no?
