What type of sedation did you have during labor?

Epidural ? All natural ? What did you guys have ? I really want a sedation but I don’t know all of the options and with my first child, they messed up the epidural 3 TIMES so the epidural is a no go for me this time!

I had an epidural with my twins ten years ago. It was botched and I ended up with a spinal headache and needed a blood patch to fix it. This time I knew I didnt want an epidural so I hired a doula and got through the labour all natural. It was very empowering and I felt like a superstar after. It was such a different  feeling from the previous experience  where I went into shock after then couldn't move for days because of the spinal headache.

All natural. If I can do it, you can do it! My baby’s head was HUGE (12.5 cm diameter) brow position I’m pretty sure, and I pushed for 18 hours (literally. In natural labor your body tells you when to push so I couldn’t help but push every contraction) 
It was traumatic, BUT, had I been at a hospital I 100% would’ve ended in a c section so a year later I’m grateful and plan to do it at the birthing center again.

So I had an epidural in a military hospital (don’t know if that part matters) after hours of pitocin. He did great, I was so comfortable after that. One side still had a little feeling but it didn’t hurt so we didn’t redo it. He placed it during a contraction so my mind wasn’t focused on the needle and I’m pretty thankful for that. It was quick. The worst part was the mile long tape they put on me 😂

Epidural. I wanted to try natural because the spinal needle scared me, but then I got induced and finally gave in for the epidural after about 2 hours of pitocin. 
The epidural was amazing and I will definitely go for it as soon as I can with the second baby.
The key for me is that I didn't listen when they said I had to push the button for more meds so I never did and my epidural was pretty much worn off by the time I had to push. It was an accident, but turned out good because I didn't feel all the labor but had most of the feeling back in my legs when it was time to push which helped give me leverage.

All natural twice. Second I asked for the epidural but I went from 5-birth in less than 1.5 hours and wasn’t in my room long lol went from 9.5 to crowning in a single contraction. That sucked 😂

All natural with my second. I had the gas set up in my room cause I was going to use it just in case it got too bad but never needed it, baths are magical!

Epidural twice. My first one was amazing. The second one the guy was a monster and didn’t numb me properly and kept missing it was so painful but worth not feeling a baby get pushed out :p
