Vacation fling updated 4

No judgment please but I have to share because this was so out of character.

I’m a single mum and have been exhausted lately so thankfully my mum offered to watch my kids while I went away. Well I did. To Europe. I haven’t dated since leaving my ex because the idea always terrified me. I never felt ready. Well I downloaded an app while away and met a guy. We chatted and got on so I agreed to meet him after he finished work for drinks and conversation.

I can’t even describe to you how amazing this guy was. I felt more

Comfortable with him in two hours than I ever did with my ex (toxic relationship with a narcissist)

But I’m not the kind of girl

Who would ever go meet a stranger at a bar, without a friend to “watch out” for me. Let alone in a foreign city. (I put safety measures into place though.) So it was a completely new experience.

Conversation was easy. I have issues with making eye contact with men (side effect from my past relationship) but I don’t think I ever stopped looking at this guy. I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing.

I’ve never had an instant attraction to anyone that strongly before. After drinks he took me on a romantic walk through the square (public

Place). He extended his arm for me to hold onto and I let me hand naturally find his and we interlocked our fingers and walked hand in hand for a while. And then, beneath the stars he kissed me 😊 and it was gooooodddddd.

He walked me back to my hotel and kissed me goodnight. And then I did something sooo unbelievably out of character for me.... I asked him up.

I have NEVER in my life done anything like that before but I’m sooo glad I did. We had the most incredible night and I didn’t get more than two hours sleep.

Five times.

Multiple orgasms.

We even had the responsible conversation beforehand about sexual health and responsibilities (which I know some people might think is a mood killer but to me is very sexy conversation)

We both knew it was just for the night because we live in different countries but he made me feel more sexy and confident and worthy of affection than anyone else ever has.

So here’s to the man who got me my groove back.

Update:

Firstttt thank you ladies for the support. It’s honestly made me feel wonderful.

Secondly, I messaged him to thank him for a great night and said if he was ever in my town/country that I hope he’d give me a call.

His response was “it was a pleasure meeting you” (I’m assuming pun intended lol)

“I might just have a reason to go now”

Update 2: so I decided to definitely use this as inspiration for part of my next book lol in a couple years it will be out for the world 😂😂

Update 3: so I balled up and messaged him saying that I know it’s complicated but if he was interested in getting to know each other that I’d really like it. I said we clicked so well so fast that I couldn’t go on without even asking if there could be anything. I gave him my number and waited. Let me tell you the anxiety that came with hitting send. I nearly shit my pants from fear.

I heard back. He expressed he was a bit concerned about the distance but that he would like to get to know me better 😋 (that’s the exact emoji he used)

So I’m taking this as a good thing. A step. We might not even like each other once we hit the nitty gritty bits but there is a door and it is open.

Sooooo I’m excited for the possibility.

Either way I’ll be fine. I’ve been through worse than rejection but I’m hopeful :)

So, it’s been a while and nothing too major to report but I thought I’d just share the little bit. He and I still talk but not regularly which is due to both of us being busy and the time difference.

I’m going back next year (booked) but haven’t told him because I already knew I wanted to return before I even met him. If we’re still talking by then I’ll ask to meet up.

But mostly, I’m just really grateful that he was my first experience back into the dating world. He gave me hope that decent guys exist and aren’t all taken.
