30 weeks back pain! Relief?!

Alex

About 30 weeks pregnant and my back is really starting to be an issue. I’m doing light stretching and light exercise to try and relieve it but it can get pretty bad sometimes. Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe magnesium lotion but I’m not sure if that’s advisable.

Acupuncture! I had chronic back pain from degenerated discs before pregnancy, and acupuncture is the best relief I’ve found.

Hey Alex! I hope your back pain is better by now, but if it’s not here’s something to consider: I started going to a chiropractor that my midwife recommended yesterday because my back pain had gotten so bad and it was basically IMMEDIATE relief. I hadn’t slept well in WEEKS and last night I didn’t wake up a single time! I’m going twice a week up until week 38 (I’m 33+3 right now).

Ice, Epsom salt baths, chiro and maybe some arnica gel? I hear support belts are good anyways. They supposedly weaken your pelvic floor and stomach muscles. So when it’s go time, it’s harder to push baby out. Don’t know, just what I heard. I just soak in an Epsom bath, but my chiro said to use ice too.

I do but have the time my bump isn’t very big. Anterior placenta and I feel like he’s wrapped around my spine. The belt hasn’t seemed like a decent option yet because there’s not much outward bump to support.
