Acupuncture??

Question

Does acupuncture really help? I have had chronic back pain due to muscle imbalance, scoliosis, and nerve pain. I’ve go to physical therapy and sometimes the chiropractor for it. It helps but I was wondering if anyone here has had any experiences with acupuncture and how it went, I’m a bit skeptical about it.

I’ve had great luck w/ it, in February 2011 I got sick w/ a mystery virus that affected my muscles, I ended up walking w/ a walker for a year & a cane for 6 months after that, I had to quit work & move back in w/ my parents, after many tests came back negative or inconclusive & I saw 3 different neurologists who couldn’t tell me what was wrong or how to get better I decided I would try acupuncture. 
I did Community acupuncture which is where you remain clothed but bare your arms up to the elbow & your legs to the knee, you sit in a comfy recliner in a room w/ other people who are also being treated, most places work on a sliding scale where treatments can cost as little as $20, I went once a week for 6 months (I also did gentle yoga, physical therapy, & gentle water aerobics at least once a week), by January 2013 I was completely recovered & no longer needed the walker or cane. Since then I’ve done it for colds/flu, anxiety, a miscarriage, pain during my rainbow baby pregnancy & plantar fasciitis in my foot

Answer

It depends on the person. I tried it a few times but the needles kept flying out of my arm. It did nothing for me. I also know people who swear by it.
