Pregnancy test progression after D&C
I’m so confused and hoping others have had similar experiences and can shed some light.
So I had a D&C for MMC on 12th Sept. Dr said I would ovulate again before next period and told us we could try whenever we wanted to so long as bleeding had stopped (which it had). But I felt like my body was so out of whack that I wouldn’t.
Anyway, on Thursday last week (26th Sept) exactly two weeks from D&C, I had ovulation pain like what I would normally experience when I ovulate. We had BD’d on the previous Sunday and then did again Thursday night. On Friday, I decided to take a pg test just to see if my HCG from the last pregnancy was still detectable. I got a very faint test. Since then, have tested most days and it was what I’d definitely describe as negative!
Then on Monday, I had some cramping all day similar to when I fell pregnant last time and on Tuesday I had this overwhelming feeling that I was pregnant. A gut feeling. And I can’t shake it. So on Thursday I took another test and it came up positive (the last test on the first pic). I wasn’t surprised because of my gut feeling and am so excited, although that would only really be 7dpo.
However, yesterday morning’s test (8dpo) looked negative. I took a second test yesterday and got a very faint line. This morning’s test (9dpo) also has a faint line but hubby thinks it’s negative.
Has anyone else had this experience? Would Thursday’s positive be leftover from my last pregnancy or is it likely a new pregnancy and perhaps I just need to wait a few more days for the HCG to be stronger? Or would my afternoon pee be giving me stronger results for some reason? Thursday’s test was FMU but the previous Friday’s was afternoon.
Thank you! 💕 🌈
