How to get rid of a certain smell

Hey everyone my mother inlaw is in town visiting and she likes to cook, but for some reason I can’t get rid of this smell, it kinda smells like food but it’s of an after smell idk how to explain it? Since I’m pregnant I’m so sensitive to smells, so I need to figure what I can use to clean the place and having it smell ok again. I tried my essential oil diffuser but that won’t work, window cracked, not much help, I wipe things down with clorox. We’re in an apartment so that doesn’t help. Anyone with sensitive noses that can tolerate a certain smell?
